Welcome to the BTAO blog. Here we can all update what’s going on in our respective communities with brain tumor awareness activities, events and plans. This has been a great year for me as The Brain Tumor Awareness Organization President! As with any organization in its early phase, there are challenges, setbacks, excitement and angst. We have worked diligently at providing a great website and community where everyone can come together to share resources and exchange ideas, we are developing currently the advocates’ web office where we can upload and access advocacy tools and materials to provide at our respective events and begin building a network of advocates who can turn passion into progress!

We have enjoyed networking opportunities with other advocates at the Patient Congress hosted by The Patient Advocate Foundation and also at the 2008 LIVESTRONG SUMMIT. It is through these great opportunities and wonderful organizations, that we can share, grow and inspire one another to raise awareness and gain support.
